OUR MO‘OLELO

Guided by kuleana to our people, place, and purpose.

Hawaiian Native Corporation (HNC) is a Native Hawaiian Organization (NHO) dedicated to creating lasting social, cultural, and economic impact by reinvesting in Native Hawaiian communities. As the parent organization of LAUKOA, HNC provides stewardship, governance, and strategic direction to ensure its work remains rooted in Native Hawaiian values and guided by a long-term commitment to people, place, and purpose.

Founded in February 2004, HNC is managed primarily by Native Hawaiians and is federally certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration as a Native Hawaiian Organization (NHO). NHOs are non-profit organizations authorized by the SBA to participate in the 8(a) Business Development program — with business activities that principally benefit Native Hawaiians.

FROM DAWSON TO LAUKOA
For more than two decades, DAWSON has delivered trusted solutions rooted in Native Hawaiian values and community impact. Today, we move forward as LAUKOA, a new name inspired by the koa tree and grounded in resilience, stewardship, and growth. While our name has evolved, our mission, leadership, and commitment to excellence remain the same. LAUKOA represents the next chapter of our story, one that continues to honor our roots while building toward the future.

Effective June 29, 2026, the portfolio companies of Hawaiian Native Corporation collectively and previously known as DAWSON will be known as LAUKOA. Our brand reflects who we are today and where we’re headed tomorrow. As we have grown and evolved, it’s important that our brand evolves with us to clearly represent our mission, vision, capabilities, and long-term direction.
